June 30 - First Report!

Captain Ron called in, after 11:00pm. Due to the two-hour time zone differential, this may be the norm. He reports that the trip so far has been great. They bought a whopping sixteen pounds of fresh Alaskan silver salmon at the Pike Place Fish Market.

They are camped in a georgeous wooded temperate rainforest at Deception Pass. Tomorrow, still at Deception Pass, they will go hiking and have their big fish fry. He says the weather up there is sunny and 50 degrees. He has got them organized into their work crews, and everyone is getting along great.

It sounds like a wonderful start! More soon.
